The history of Sthal Union is Sthal Pakrasi Zamindar Bari, Sthal Pakrasi Institute which was established in 1964 and was the first higher education institution in Pabna and Sirajganj districts. The land union is named Karan according to the land Pakrasi zamindar bari name.
